Beyond function

We envisioned a handrail that balances stability with organic softness. Hand-shaped from solid wood, its irregular form mimics the undulating curves of a stream — grounding the hand while freeing the eye from rigid geometry.

A deep, dark stain preserves the grain, establishing a deliberate dialogue with the white surroundings. Despite the challenges of installation and complex site conditions, the result is effortless.
